About Anthea and Andrew

Anthea and Andrew Boden have many years’ experience as aged care consultants. Anthea is a registered nurse with over 30 years’ experience in caring for older people. Andrew has 30 years experience in the financial sector.

This synergy enables us to assess the most appropriate options for you, by completing an assessment of your health and care needs, while also explaining the costs of accessing appropriate aged care and accommodation. We also assist you with completion of documentation and any financial assessments required.

Age Care Directions is driven by our passion for helping older people and their families to find the best possible Residential Care (Nursing Home) placement. We have assisted over a thousand families in Adelaide with this difficult and complex decision.

This service aims to assist people who are elderly and are no longer able to manage within their own home, and require placement in Residential Care (Nursing Home). This could be due to their deteriorating health, either physically or cognitively.

Age Care Directions offers a full application service that is personalised to your needs and aims to find you a placement in Residential Care, with the focus being on the quality of care provided by the facility.

This service aims to assist people who are elderly and are finding it difficult to live independently within their own home, and require In Home Care. This could be due to their deteriorating health, either physically or cognitively.

Age Care Directions offers our In Home Care service, where we provide tailored advice to your circumstances, enabling you to access In Home Care from quality providers, with a focus on you being able to remain living independently in your own home for as long as possible.

Retirement Accommodation

Age Care Directions offers our Retirement Accommodation service, where we provide tailored advice to you, enabling you to consider suitable accommodation options that closely meet your preferences and budget, with a focus on you being able to remain living independently in your chosen accommodation for as long as possible.

There are numerous options available, including making a few alterations and remaining in your own home, relocating to a Retirement Village or an Independent Living Unit, or if your health has deteriorated significantly, moving into Residential Care.

 
Emergency Residential Care Placement

Emergency Residential Care Placement

Unfortunately, there may come a time when a crisis hits and Residential Care placement is required immediately.

Age Care Directions offers a full application service that is personalised to your needs and aims to find you a placement in Residential Care, permanent or respite, with the focus being on the quality of care provided by the facility.

This service includes a free phone consultation followed by a visit to your home or to the hospital, where we will undertake an assessment of your health and care needs.
